The Resuscitation Service at NHS Forth Valley is inviting applications from enthusiastic and motivated Resuscitation Council UK ALS or EPALS Instructors to join the team on a permanent basis.
Our Vision is that everybody can provide appropriate resuscitation to save lives.
We are committed to delivering high-quality resuscitation training across NHS Forth Valley and are actively engaged in quality improvement work to reduce avoidable cardiac arrests, working in collaboration with the Deterioration Patient Improvement Group and ReSPECT Implementation Group.
The successful applicant will be a registered healthcare professional from a nursing, paramedic, peri-operative practice or allied healthcare professional background, with current registration with the HPCP or NMC.
Applicants must have suitable experience from an acute healthcare setting such as CCU, ITU, Emergency Department or pre-hospital care and who have a passion for education and resuscitation. The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate an interest and experience of teaching clinical skills, simulation and undertaking clinical audit. Good organisational and communication skills, a proactive flexible outlook, a willingness to develop and adapt with the ability to work autonomously are essential criteria for the role of Resuscitation Officer. A driver’s licence is necessary as there is an expectation that resuscitation training is delivered across a range of sites.
