Are you interested to work in a progressive podiatry service that puts a great emphasis on staff professional development and voice in shaping the direction of the service?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated HCPC registered Podiatrist with excellent communication skills to work within our team in the Scottish Borders in the delivery of high standard patient centred care.

We are particularly interested to recruit a Podiatrist with an interest in foot and ankle MSK, who is keen to further develop skills in this area and who is willing to support the development of Podiatry MSK services across our community and hospital provision. There will be an opportunity to work closely with the multidisciplinary orthopaedic team in the hospital which includes advance physiotherapy practitioners, orthotist, orthopaedic consultants and tissue viability specialist podiatrists

The service operates monthly educational programme led and delivered by staff as well as weekly staff meetings. We promote patient self management and support the training of other health care professionals on foot care. There will be also an opportunity to support service improvement work, supervise students and to undertake rotations in nail surgery, paediatrics and tissue viability.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced team that works closely together and that strive to improve patient care using quality improvement approaches. We are looking for an individual who is a good team player and who can demonstrate our core values and behaviours of dignity, respect, team work, care and compassion.

We support flexible working and the Scottish Borders offer excellent lifestyle, and outstanding quality of life, thriving communities, and abundance of outdoor activities at only a short distance from Edinburgh.
