As a Senior Occupational Therapist in the Children and Young Person’s team in East Ayrshire, you will have effective communication, organisational and time management skills and be able to work as part of a multi-dsciplinary team

You will demonstrate skills which ensure all children and young people can access supports and interventions and will adapt and differentiate approaches to meet a range of young people’s needs. The post holder will be required to carry out domiciliary visits and also visit children and young people within mainstream and special schools. 

You will be able to demonstrate robust skills in assessment and development of personalised treatment programmes; as well as possessing knowledge in universal approaches. The successful candidate will work in a team that embraces whole person care; based on the needs of individuals, families and communities. 

You will have an understanding of the current national and local drivers influencing change and be able to evidence continuous professional development.
This is an evolving role therefore experience in service improvement and evaluation is required. 

You will contribute to the training and development of students. Clinical and Line Management supervision will be provided and we are keen to support applicants to learn and develop skills within the role.

You will have a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.

Previous experience in working with other agencies and the third sector is desirable. 

A current driving licence and access to a car are essential for community working.

This is a 30hours per week post.
