An opportunity has arisen through retirement for an experienced practitioner with expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The post holder will form part of the Adult Autism Assessment Team (AAAT) – a virtual team with dedicated sessional input from Consultant Psychiatrist – providing assessment of adults who present with difficulties associated with ASD but do not require the input of specialist mental health or learning disability services.
This role requires a significant degree of autonomous working. The post holder will be tasked with developing the existing assessment pathway to ensure all adults within Forth Valley have an assessment within 18 weeks of referral.
NHS Forth Valley serves the council areas of Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannan, a population of 310,000. The area is served by Forth Valley Royal Hospital and four community hospitals.
