Two 12 Month Fixed Term / Secondment positions available
As a vital part of NHSScotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.
The role of the Digital & Security (DaS) SBU is to support the NHS Scotland national eHealth agenda through the effective delivery of digital products and specialist services that will enable clinical process and efficiency improvements across Scotland. This includes the delivery of digital services, systems, data and contracts which enable cross-Board/ boundary integration, workflow, information sharing, cost efficiency realisation and collaboration.
In order to meet the increasing demand from Health Boards and Scottish Government, NSS Digital and Security (DaS) Business Unit are seeking to recruit a Service Manager within the Cloud Engineering & Digital Operations (CE&DO) team to provide Service Management for national clinical systems used by NHS Scotland. This includes facilitating clinical-based governance, managing change and release cycles, incident and problem management whilst assuring the agreed level of service from suppliers and managing support capacity and costs. This is a challenging and busy role requiring IT Service Management experience or Programme Management experience in large scale, complex IT projects, and excellent communication and organisational skills.

This is a Full Time 12 months fixed term position based in Glasgow or Edinburgh albeit currently in a working from home capacity. There is potential for a full time post after this period.
