There are several exciting opportunities for highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technicians’ to join the well established clinical pharmacy teams and the opportunity to develop their skills within a variety of specialities at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. We are large teaching hospitals with an established reputation for offering best practice across a wide variety of specialist services in the adult and paediatric setting.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work within well established ward based clinical teams in the adult and paediatric settings. All posts work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a high quality of patient care and participate in the ongoing service development in a patient focused role to optimise medicines use, support patient flow and contribute towards ongoing delivery and development of the clinical pharmacy service.
Candidates should possess a National Certificate (NC) in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent, SVQ level III or equivalent, and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

You will be required to participate in the weekend and public holiday service working rota at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh or Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
