Assistant Psychologist

Health Boards in Scotland are recruiting to a number of Assistant Psychologist posts. You will be employed by NHS Scotland Health Boards and managed within psychology services locally. There is a single national selection process for NHS Boards to appoint to the Assistant Psychologist posts.
Applicants should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in Psychology or equivalent, be eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society and have an interest in applying psychology to working with people with psychological difficulties. You will be able to provide evidence of right to work in the UK without restriction.
Knowledge of psychological theory and models of application is essential along with a sound knowledge of research methodology and data collection. The applicant should be an individual who is committed to delivering high quality and effective psychological services. The post holder should be able to work within a team but also be able to work independently. The post holder should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
The post holder will provide psychological assessment, treatment and consultation under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist.
