Health Boards in Scotland are recruiting to a number of Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology (CAAP) posts. You will be employed by NHS Scotland Health Boards and managed within psychology services locally. There is a single national selection process for NHS Boards to appoint to the CAAP posts.
Applicants should be an Honours Psychology graduate eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society and must have successfully attained a post graduate Masters level degree in Psychological Therapies in Primary Care or Applied Psychology for Children and Young People. On appointment, postholders must be registered as a Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology with the British Psychological Society via the Wider Psychological Workforce Register.
The role will include psychological assessment, short to medium term therapeutic interventions, involvement in innovative service delivery and developing psychologically informed working practice with a range of colleagues. There is also the opportunity to contribute to service evaluation audit, research and training within the service.
