Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

Health Boards in Scotland are recruiting to a number of Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist posts. You will be employed by NHS Scotland Health Boards and managed within psychology services locally. There is a single national selection process for NHS Boards to appoint to these posts.
Applicants must have a Doctoral level qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent and be a registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council. Experience of working in a mental health setting is essential.
Postholders will provide clinical supervision and support in relation to the psychological assessment, therapy and management provided by trainee clinical/ counselling psychologists, multi-disciplinary clinicians and staff within the designated clinical area. There will be responsibility for providing psychology teaching, training, consultancy and supervision activities managed within a governance structure. The role will involve audit and research relevant to the service area.
