Health Boards in Scotland are recruiting to a number of Clinical Psychology posts. You will be employed by NHS Scotland Health Boards and managed within psychology services locally. There is a single national selection process for NHS Boards to appoint to these posts.
Applicants must have a Doctoral level qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Registered Clinical or Registered Counselling or Registered Health Psychologist.
It is essential applicants have significant experience in working with individuals who experience complex/severe psychological difficulties and their family or carers. Applicants will have significant experience in supporting, teaching and consultation with other mental health professionals working within psychological settings and have proven ability to undertake formative and summative clinical assessments, and prepare reports demonstrating interpretation of findings.
Postholders will provide clinical and professional support to qualified applied psychologists, trainee clinical and counselling psychologists, assistant psychologists, and other mental health clinicians and, where appropriate, deputising for the Consultant Psychologist/Locality Coordinator/Head of Specialism.
