Ward 67 is part of a regional service that is provided to the west of Scotland. The department provides a 7 day acute Neurology   service to patients with a variety of Acute neurological conditions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 2 to work with the team within Acute Neurology at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, QEUH.  We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Health Care Support Worker to join our team within ward 67 .This 19 bedded wards provides acute neurology care as part of the Neuroscience Service to the West of Scotland.  You will work 12-hour shifts rotational shift pattern including weekend & night duty working involved to cover the 24/7 service.  You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to patient-centred care, continuing professional development, an understanding of our service, and the specific needs of our patients (or a commitment to learn and develop these skills).You will demonstrate flexibility, and a willingness to participate in service progression and growth. The ability to work effectively in a team is essential.  This post requires PVG scheme membership / Disclosure Scotland check. As part of NHSGGC pre employment checking for all appointed candidates, evidence of current NMC registration will be required prior to start date. This may involve weekend working.
