The West of Scotland Clinical Genetics Service is seeking a Consultant Clinical Geneticist. You will join an established consultant team who provide a regional service to the West of Scotland. This is a 10 PA post available based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital campus (QEUH) in Glasgow, in the purpose built Laboratories Medicine building, the clinical service is adjacent to the West of Scotland Laboratory Genetics Service with outstanding facilities for cytogenetics, prenatal diagnosis, molecular genetics and molecular pathology. The unit is closely associated with the University of Glasgow Medical School and you will work in a progressive environment where research and audit are actively encouraged.
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in Clinical Genetics or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview.

Additional Non-Direct Clinical Care (DCC) (up to 2 Programmed Activities(PA's) in total - inclusive of 1 Core Supported Programmed Activity (SPA) plus 1 Additional Non DCC) can be negotiated and agreed between the successful candidate and Management depending on the time required to support professional activities and the needs of the service.
