Would you like to rise to the challenge and enjoy the opportunity to work and reside on one of the beautiful Islands of Shetland, Out Skerries? We’re looking for an experienced Health Care Support Worker keen to support the local community within the integrated Health and Social Care remit on the island of Out Skerries.

Ideally you will be resident in Out Skerries or willing to reside in Out Skerries, and have at least six month’s experience as a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW). Whilst previous experience of working in a community setting is desirable, this is not essential.

We are happy to consider candidates already working part-time as a Health or Social Care Worker who are interested in additional working hours and/or the opportunity to gain experience in the community nursing setting. It is also essential that you are a car driver and have access to your own vehicle for work purposes as this will be required to undertake duties within community settings.

You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on http://www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk/resources/hcsw-standards-and-codes/
