PHARMACY ASSISTANT – ASEPTIC DISPENSING UNIT

BAND 2

Full Time / Permanent

Salary Scale £19,609 - £21,615 per annum

Our busy Pharmacy Aseptic Dispensing Unit based at Raigmore Hospital require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist the team in providing a high quality, patient focussed pharmaceutical service within Raigmore and across NHS Highland.

You will assist the technical team with the day-to-day running of the Aseptic Dispensing Unit along with packaging, delivery and safe storage of aseptically dispensed medicines within Raigmore and to our peripheral sites. Preparation, maintenance and monitoring of Emergency Kits across sites is also part of this role.                               

Candidates must have SQA National 4 qualifications or equivalent  in English, Maths and Science subjects as a minimum. The successful candidate will be IT literate, have the ability to work accurately and will be required to undertake a level 2 pharmacy services course to meet the General Pharmaceutical Councils minimum training requirements for the role.

Pharmacy experience is desirable but this is not essential as full training would be given.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory  Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout your employment.
