General PEF Radiographer – Band 7

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 PEF role within the General department of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is a brand new role and we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer with a positive attitude and effective organisational skills. The successful candidate will also provide a supportive training role to the department at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.

The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years plain film experience with a sound knowledge of justifying Imaging examinations in line with departmental protocols. You will be responsible for ensuring that staff training needs are met to the highest standard and that departmental document control is always kept up to date. This is a full time post with the role comprising of 3 days clinical commitment and 2 days PEF role. There will be the opportunity to undertake limited OOH work.

The department currently has a variety of both DR/CR Fuji, Xograph & Siemens equipment in the department along with a new fleet of GE OEC Image Intensifiers & new Samsung Mobile DR units.

The candidate will be educated to degree level in Diagnostic Radiography with current registration in HCPC.
