Job Advert
An exciting opportunity has arisen for three posts, x 2 at 37.5 hours as band 4, Single Point of Contact Navigators, for a patient support pilot, based within NHS Grampian.
These posts will contribute to the provision of a dedicated person-centred support along the diagnostic cancer pathway. They will coordinate and monitor the investigation and treatment journey from referral for urgent suspected cancer patients, ensuring delays are pre-empted and resolved to enable patients to receive treatment in line with national targets.
The Single Point of Contact Navigators will focus on providing a resource for patients and their families to access whilst on the diagnostic part of the pathway, answering queries regarding investigations, appointments and signposting to resources available, working in partnership with the cancer tracking and MDT teams.
The successful applicants will work within an established team of support workers to drive the redesign of services to meet the movement of activity, and develop new ways of working to ensure that the best patient care is delivered.
We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who have experience of working within the NHS, and thrive in a challenging environment.
If you are excited about this post we would like to hear from you.
