This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist  to join a well-established and enthusiastic Team of SLTs and Clinical Support Workers based in the South area of Glasgow. Our service is committed to providing compassionate and quality care to the children / young people of Glasgow who have Speech, Language and Communication needs.
The successful candidate will be based in a community team of SLTs and CSWs  who are well supported within the SLT Management Team. The post holder will assess, diagnose and provide speech and language therapy intervention to children up to 18 years old from a designated caseload from admission to discharge. The service also has a focus on universal and targeted work and the successful candidate will contribute to this as part of their job plan. SLTs work in a variety of settings, e.g., clinics, mainstream schools and nurseries, Additional Support Needs Establishments and in the home environment.
 All staff receive regular supervision, participate in team and base meetings and have opportunities to participate in our journal club, practice development networks, reflective practice groups etc .  
You should hold an appropriate Ordinary/Honours degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent diploma and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Experience in working with children is an essential requirement and a knowledge of working within a staged intervention model would be required.
This is a 22.5  hours a  week fixed term post for 12 months  with the shift pattern
