Public Health Practitioner Advanced – Oral and Dental Health
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dental Public Health team within the NHS Grampian Public Health Directorate. We are looking for an experienced Public Health Advanced Practitioner with a specialist interest in oral and dental health improvement to support delivery of our ambition of tackling oral health inequality and to increase our focus on prevention and early intervention to improve health outcomes for the population. You will be committed to addressing inequality and working towards whole system change to address our dental public health priorities.
This role will require the individual to provide strategic leadership and co-ordination of an extensive portfolio of oral and dental health improvement programmes. You must have proven experience of implementing health improvement programmes and projects. The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, including the ability to persuade, negotiate and motivate others. The post works alongside a team of oral health improvement practitioners, public health practitioners, lead clinicians and senior managers across NHS Grampian and the three local Health and Social Care Partnerships.
The post holder will provide specialist public health/health improvement expertise specifically related to oral health at an advanced level, managing resources (staff/budget) to effect change. They will ensure integration between strategies and programmes across NHS Grampian and the three Health and Social Care Partnerships and Community Planning Partnerships.
Please note this post is part time 30 hrs per week.
