Come and join our Physiotherapy team in the Western General Hospital in one of the most visited cities in the world – Edinburgh!

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, proactive physiotherapist to join our Older persons rehabilitation team within the ARC at the Western General Hospital. The Physiotherapy team is embedded within the multi disciplinary team in the older persons day assessment centre. You will help clinically lead and develop the Physiotherapy and vestibular rehabilitation service in conjunction with the Team Lead Physiotherapist. You will deliver physiotherapy assessments and treatments to our complex patients with multiple co-morbidities to help support patients to remain in their own home.

Candidates must display evidence of extensive clinical experience in a variety of acute in-patient and community areas. Previous experience in Vestibular rehabilitation is essential. Ability to prioritise, assess and treat a wide range of presentations is key, as is clarity of communication and well-demonstrated organisational skills. Experience of supervision, mentorship and appraisal of other staff members / students is expected, as is evidence of multi disciplinary working. A background in service development with knowledge of QI methodology is required.

This exciting post will allow the successful candidate to gain extensive and in-depth experience as a band 7 Advanced Practitioner physiotherapist and gain or add to expertise in the area of vestibular rehabilitation and anticipatory care planning.

Physiotherapy Services support staff development through appraisal processes, supervision and CPD opportunities.
