The Practitioner and Counter Fraud Services unit of NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) is looking for a Payment / PV officer to join its Contractor Finance Team as a result of a staff vacancy.
The post holder will handle a wide range of payments on behalf of NHS Health Boards; they will manage practice reimbursement and payment claims along with practitioner super annuation contributions.
The post will provide the opportunity to engage with practices, Health Boards and the Scottish Public Pension Agency and provide an excellent grounding in the broad spectrum of primary care finance. This post allows for the individual to make a tangible difference to the delivery of primary care services in Scotland by ensuring that our GP practices are appropriately funded allowing them to focus on patient care.
The post holder will be self-motivated, numerate, empathetic, able to deal with sensitive issues in a confidential manner, a team player with the ability to work independently and use own initiative.
The post holder will have good experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of a financial payment system is also favourable.
