Job Advert
Perth & Kinross HSCP are seeking GPs to join the Primary Care Resilience team (PCRT). This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary resilience team, which will provide essential support to P&K GP Practices when required. The multi-disciplinary team will comprise of GPs, practice nurse, pharmacists, ANP’s, practice in-house trainer and service manager.
The development of a PCRT within Perth and Kinross is part of an innovative and proactive plan for supporting P&K GP practices in a wide range of ways to maintain them and keep practices ‘healthy’. This approach should bring some resilience to the primary care services and we hope will increase the attractiveness for recruitment of GP’s to P&K GP practices.
GP’s within this role will develop active links with practices within Perth and Kinross, as well as delivering regular clinical sessions in practice and in urgent care home visiting to support practices and respond to issues which may impact on the sustainability of General Practice.
The successful candidate(s) will also add resilience to our Quality, Safety and Efficiency in Prescribing Programme (QSEP). Hours can be flexible around other clinical commitments. For interested candidates there could also be the opportunity to appoint to a portfolio mix, dovetailing in to our developing ‘Hospital at Home’ service; Prisoner Health Care; Medicine for the Elderly; Community Hospitals; Dermatology or GP OOH.
Initially a total of 13 sessions are available per week, however any number of regular sessions would be considered, hours flexible around clinical commitments/part time considered.
