This is an exciting opportunity of a full time, permanent contract for a Senior Occupational therapist within the Mental Health Discharge & Resettlement Team (DART). Essential to this post is an experienced Occupational Therapist who is confident with their core skills, has excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative clinical style. Also required is a well-developed knowledge of care of adults with mental health problems and appropriate interventions. Responsibilities will include occupational therapy assessment and treatment for individuals and groups residing across Glasgow, key worker to clients with complex mental health difficulties and participation in service developments. You will help facilitate patients move on from adult mental health inpatient stays who are homeless or potentially homeless and supporting within the community. You will be responsible for making recommendations to facilitate safe and independent living, supporting clients with recovery through day structure including vocational rehabilitation, access to leisure, education and employability via individual and group work. You will undertake clinical and professional supervision of Occupational Therapy students and staff. You will receive professional support and supervision from the Lead Occupational Therapist at Leverndale Hospital, will gain access to appropriate training and maintain your continued professional development. It is essential you have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
