This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with experience in the assessment, diagnosis and management of complex communication and/ or swallowing difficulties in adults as a result of conditions including Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, MND.  You will provide speech and language therapy services for adults in the community within the Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership’s Rehabilitation and Enablement Service, and within the Physical Disabilities Rehabilitation Service which covers a mixture of in-patient and out-patient/domiciliary settings.  The role involves providing high quality training and education, within a multi-agency approach, to ensure our partners in care homes, people’s home settings and community based locations are best able to support communication and swallowing difficulties and their impact on the individual.  You will have experience in working with a range of adults and will have developing expertise in a specialist area of SLT.  Working autonomously with clients, you will access and provide supervision and contribute to governance and service agendas including audit and improvement. With an excellent understanding of person-centred health and social care, you will demonstrate decision making which has at its centre functional outcomes and wellbeing for individuals.  It is essential that you have a Speech and Language Therapy Degree or Equivalent and that you are currently registered with the Health Professions Council.  You should have a Postgraduate education / training or qualification in dysphagia management.
