This rotation covers Glenlaw House, the early year’s assessment nursery at Armitstead Child Development Centre (ACDC) and specialist school at Kingspark.
  • Opportunity 2 offers an opportunity for 2 or 3 Newly Qualified Practitioners (NQP) Band 5 to join the Neonatal team to cover maternity leave for one year. These temporary posts offer flexibility of hours for either part-time or full time working.
  • Opportunity 3 invites 4 full-time NQP Band 5 to join a newly created four-way rotation in children’s services. These posts are permanent contracts. Rotational placements will change approximately every 6 months and include Ward 29, high dependency, Paediatric Assessment Unit, Children’s investigation unit, Ward 30, NICU and PCD.

Orientation and induction programmes will be offered.  We promote person centred cultures and encourage supportive team working and development. We are soon to open a new children’s theatre suite in Dundee and access new OPD area in Perth. The NICU has recently been fully refurbished and now provides a state of the art environment to care for babies and families. We continue to work to improve all our other care areas and services.

All NQP will be supported to gain experience in several aspects of children's nursing role by working in children's medical, surgical, complex disability, The Children’s Community Nursing team, Homecare and neonatal services.
