An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Neonatal Nurse within the NNU at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Our 20 cot, level 2 unit provides Intensive; High Dependency; Special and Transitional Care and Outreach Services for the babies within Forth Valley.
We are looking for a dedicated staff nurse with a passion for Neonatal care; a keen team player with excellent communication skills who displays an enthusiasm to promote family integrated care within our Neonatal Unit. In your role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for assessment of care needs ensuring the delivery of high quality care to our babies and families. Coordinating the unit activity and staff on a shift basis is a key part of this role.
An interest in QI and change management to drive forward and instill positive changes in the care pathways for the babies and families ensuring the best possible start in life would be advantageous.
A first level NMC Registration; recent experience working in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and completion of the Neonatal Nurse Quality in Specialty (QIS) certificate are essential for this post.
