A vacancy has arisen within the North Glasgow Inflammatory Bowel (IBD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Service, for a Clinical Nurse Specialist.   We wish to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated nurse with an interest in all aspects of treatment and monitoring of patients within this service.  This is a challenging, stimulating and rewarding post working as part of a dynamic IBD/IBS multidisciplinary team.

The nurse will be responsible for delivering and maintaining nurse led clinics providing patient education, deliver and monitoring high quality care, and psychological support.  In addition they will supervise and ensure compliance with treatment regimens and promote evidence based management. Well established multidisciplinary protocols and pathways of care are in place.

The successful applicant will complement the existing IBD/IBS nursing service, with the ability to deliver novel approaches to service delivery in the future.

The post holder will be based in the IBD / IBS Gastroenterology services within Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Stobhill Ambulatory Care Unit, to meet service requirements.

The nurse will be a 1st level registered nurse with 5 years experience. Whilst gastroenterology experience is desirable, we would encourage applications from those who feel they have the necessary personal qualities to apply, as a comprehensive training programme will be provided.
