An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join NHS Golden Jubilee as a Senior Estates Manager (Electrical Bias).
NHS Golden Jubilee incorporates the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, Research Institute, Conference Hotel, Innovation Centre and NHS Scotland Academy. As Scotland’s flagship health facility, the Golden Jubilee National Hospital specialises in cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and ophthalmic surgery as well as interventional and diagnostic cardiology. It is also the Scottish centre for heart transplantation and for patients with congenital cardiac and pulmonary vascular issues. A major diagnostic imaging centre, the hospital also has one of the largest concentrations of intensive care beds in the UK. The GJ is responsible for planning the elective care requirements of the West Region population between now and 2025.
The Estates Department facilitate the delivery of uninterrupted quality healthcare by providing a 24:7 safe comfortable & statutory compliant built environment which supports the effective provision of high quality clinical and non-clinical care for our patients and guests. This is achieved by maintaining and delivering effective Planned Preventive Maintenance.
You will provide professional technical (HV/LV electrical systems & MGPS) support to the estates department team and contribute to the forward planning, development and implementation of effective and efficient maintenance policies. You will act as the HV & LV electrical systems first line operational lead and the MGPS first line operational lead within the estates department team. You are required to assist the estates management team in delivering Golden Jubilee key objectives and are required to maintain an effective estates service within allocated budgetary resource and in compliance with all statutory requirements & mandatory NHS Scotland Healthcare standards & guidelines.
You will provide expert advice to Senior Managers within the NHS Golden Jubilee. You are required to have highly developed specialist electrical engineering and MGPS knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices underpinned by theoretical knowledge and relevant practical NHS healthcare estates engineering experience.
