Full time 37.5hpw but part time will be considered
Fixed term / secondment to 01/03/2026
Are you an ambitious and self-motivated individual who can help deliver key projects in Caithness?
Caithness Redesign Programme is embarking on an ambitious programme of work. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the NHS Highland eHealth Department to help deliver this.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager on a fixed term basis to deliver the Caithness Redesign project. The successful person will work with a team to ensure the successful delivery and roll out for the project using the Prince 2 methodology. This will take forward new developments and initiatives aligned to the NHS Highland Digital Strategy.
This exciting new post will play a key role in delivering the digital transformation needed to support a major redesign of health and social care services in Caithness. This is a complete redesign of the way we deliver services in the area, with a focus on prevention and community resilience. Having the correct digital systems in place is a crucial enabler for the health and social care teams to work collaboratively, with the patient at the centre. The redesign also includes three major building projects; new community hubs in Wick and Thurso and a reconfiguration of Caithness General Hospital in Wick. The post holder will be a core member of the Project Team and will lead on the digital and eHealth elements of the project.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, with excellent organisational and programme management skills (Prince 2) and the ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders across health, social care and the community. You will have experience of managing and delivering complex projects with many interdependencies, ideally within an Information Technology setting.
This post will have a significant home-working element with flexibility around base and applicants from the Caithness area are particularly encouraged.
