Job Advert
This is a full-time post offered on a fixed contract for 10 months.
We are seeking to recruit a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join a busy Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT). This would involve providing telephone screening appointments to clients referred to the service, together with individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for clients with common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Therapy is delivered by video, telephone, and in person, depending on client needs and preferences. Candidates must have relevant professional training to degree level or equivalent in a core profession (e.g. Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Work, Occupational Therapy), together with and registration with a relevant professional regulatory body (e.g. HCPC or NMC). A Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from a BABCP accredited course would be desirable, as would prior experience of working within a PCMHT. We are keen to recruit someone with experience and enthusiasm for therapeutic group work, which will form a core part of the role. Bridges PCMHT is a small and friendly team of psychological therapists and counselors. We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and would welcome applications from candidates with BAME backgrounds, those identifying as LGBTQIA+, and candidates with disabilities. We are open to flexible working requests.
