NHSA&A are seeking an exceptional individual for the role of General Manager for Surgical. You should have significant experience in providing innovative solutions towards meeting organisational objectives, including a proven ability to manage change within a high quality patient care environment.
You should be able to demonstrate experience of working within a large, complex organisation. With a proven track record of working in partnership with Clinical Directors to meet operational and strategic targets, whilst maintaining and where possible developing and improving, the quality of patient care in line with the NHS Ayrshire and Arran corporate objectives.
You should be able to operate under pressure and have an in-depth knowledge and experience of clinical and financial management.
You will utilise your excellent communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes, and be able to influence staff to provide high quality patient care and must also demonstrate the ability to earn the confidence and respect of staff and partners in order to develop a positive culture which encourages initiative, and open communication.
The post will be based at University Hospital Ayr, but travel between NHSA&A sites may be required.

Hours: 37.5 per week on a fixed term/secondment basis for 6 months.
