Band 7 Dietitian - Advanced Dietetic Practitioner, Lothian Adult Eating Disorder Service

Permanent Full Time (1.0 WTE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 Advanced Dietetic Practitioner to join our Adult Lothian Eating Disorder Service. This post will provide highly specialised dietetic support to adults with mental health and eating disorder diagnoses across Lothian. This post will be based at the Cullen Centre on the Royal Edinburgh Hospital Site with a requirement to work across Lothian to support community-based work and inpatient liaison.

The Lothian Eating Disorders Service is a well established multi-disciplinary outpatient and community service. The service supports patients with a wide range of eating disorder presentations and offers psychological and medical interventions. The post holder will be expected to perform as a senior member of the LEDS Dietetic and multidisciplinary team. They would be expected to supervise members of staff, provide clinical leadership, participate in student training (A, B & C placements) and provide operational support to the team when required. They are to be responsible for a caseload of high-risk eating disorder patients and be part of assessment, care planning, implementation and evaluation alongside the MDT.  The post holder will be expected to contribute to audit and evaluation and broader service development. The post-holder will be required to travel across Lothian for community visiting, liaising and outreach work when this cannot be delivered via phone or video link.​​​​​​​
