NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to recruit a dynamic and highly experienced pharmacist to lead our pharmacy aseptic services, which is critical in supporting safe and effective patient care. The post holder will provide strategic leadership to the organisation in reviewing and developing our pharmacy aseptic services and providing expert advice as well as working in collaboration with various stakeholders. The post holder will also act as the Accountable Pharmacist and will be responsible for all aspects of the services within the centralised aseptic unit based at University Hospital Monklands.

The successful candidate will have significant post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy within a clinical or technical speciality, including significant experience within aseptic services. This includes excellent knowledge of and ability to apply relevant national standards, guidelines and regulations. You will be expected to work alongside the Chief Pharmacy Technician and Deputy Accountable Pharmacist to manage, develop and train the aseptic team as well as wider pharmacy workforce.  The post will be mostly based at University Hospital Monklands; although there may be a need to travel across NHS Lanarkshire and beyond at times.   

It is an exciting time in NHS Lanarkshire within expanding roles for the pharmacy team as well as developing future plans for the replacement of the current University Hospital Monklands site.
