Commissioning Manager - Band 7
Based - Inverness, can be flexible
Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Salary Scale £40,872 - £47,846
Are you an ambitious and self-motivated individual who can play a key role in the successful delivery of new facilities across NHS Highland?
You will be responsible for overseeing the technical design and commissioning process to ensure that our new facilities transfer seamlessly from construction project to fully operational facilities and deliver the benefits our population deserve, as well as putting in place systems and strategies which optimise project delivery. Key tasks include:
- Commissioning and design review management: working closely with Project Managers and technical leads from briefing to handover to ensure that our new facilities meet the required technical standards and are correctly commissioned with all evidence in place to support this.
- People management - Management and coordination of technical advisors, external consultants, contractors and design team members. Engagement with national groups and professional bodies to promote and deliver best practice.
- Reporting - presentation of status reports to governance groups and project colleagues.
- Change Management - working across the project team and beyond to develop new systems and processes to enhance professional development and modern project delivery.
The successful candidate will have a balance of technical and project experience as well as excellent organisational and people management skills. You will be educated to Degree level and hold a recognised professional qualification in engineering or construction, or equivalent experience. You must have the ability to communicate and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge, and excellent organisation and problem solving skills.
Work covers the whole NHS Highland area and there is flexibility on base (currently Assynt House, Inverness) with a home working element likely. Driving licence is essential.
