Applications are invited for a Band 5 radiographer post at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin. which is situated on the south coast of the Moray Firth within an area of outstanding natural beauty. Elgin is situated in the north east of Scotland, 40 miles from Inverness and 70 miles from Aberdeen.
We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals, who wish to join a friendly team of professionals in this 120 bed district general hospital. The department provides a General Radiography service, including 24 hour A&E cover, Dental, Fluoro, CT, DEXA and Ultrasound, Carestream RIS/PACS is throughout Grampian.
The department provides services to GP’s, Orthopaedics, Medical, General Surgery, A&E, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Maxillofacial, Theatres and community sites. There are busy outpatient clinics with a number of visiting consultants from Aberdeen and Inverness, as well as the 24/7 emergency service.
As part of Elective Care project, Dr. Gray’s hospital has been identified as a site for MRI in the near future.
Dr Gray’s Hospital is the hub for a group of 4 GP run hospitals spread throughout Moray. As part of the duties, the successful individual may be expected to support these outlying single-handed departments once their competencies are achieved. Newly qualified graduates in Diagnostic Radiography are invited to apply and part time/job share will be considered.
The department actively encourages professional development, CPD and role development.
The successful candidate will be involved in the department Quality Assurance and Clinical Audit programmes. As part of this role a commitment to the out of hour’s service is required.
