Location – Eurocentral
This is a challenging opportunity to help harness the buying power of more than £1.5 billion spent each year on across the NHS in Scotland. National Procurement, the Procurement Centre of Expertise for Health, works in collaboration with Health Boards to ensure the highest level of patient care through the provision of a wide range of goods and services via a series of best value National Contracts and Distribution Services.
The National Distribution and Eurocentral facilities operate over 3 shift patterns, to include Day/Back Shift rotation, and a constant Nightshift, the successful applicant will work a rotating Day/Back Shift (06.00-14.00) and (14.00-22.00).
Eurocentral facility operates within a 122,000 Sq Ft warehouse, in all aspects of Good’s In, Pick and Dispatch the successful candidate will have experience of working within a similar FMCG warehouse or logistics role, with demonstrable team management, Inbound and stock allocation planning, ideally gained within an FMCG warehouse.
Warehouse
Your role will be to manage the operational teams ensuring depot stock and availability targets are met, and outbound delivery timescales are realised. The shift manager will also monitor productivity of warehouse operators, ensure training targets are met ensuring compliance with NHSS Logistics health, safety and security procedures and adhere to risk assessments and the development of safe systems of work. Follow HR policies when dealing with the day to day management of staff, monitor sickness absence and deal with any disciplinary actions.
Control Tower
Your role will be to manage the Control Tower Team ensuring stock availability target is maintained, and outbound delivery timescales are realised. Monitoring of the inbound vs capacity of sites and managing the co-ordination and direction of inbound stock to correct sites. The shift manager will also monitor work load of the team, ensure training targets are completed to meet compliance with NHSS Logistics health, safety and security procedures, adhere to risk assessments and the development of safe systems of work. Follow HR policies when dealing with the day to day management of staff, monitor sickness absence and deal with any disciplinary actions.
An ability to develop and learn new skills, follow instructions and procedures while working both as part of a team and on own initiative within a fast moving environment are essential.
Day/Back Shift Rotation (0600-1400/1400-2200) – 37.5 hours per week.
