East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is seeking to appoint to the role of Clinical Director.  The Clinical Director will work 4 sessions (0.4wte) per week (flexible arrangements can be discussed) as a valued member of the HSCP management team, professional advisor and non-voting member of the Integration Joint Board (IJB). Salary £105,039 pa (pro rata) plus £9736 per annum responsibility payment payable.

The Clinical Director will work alongside a range of professional leaders within primary and urgent care and across the wider medical leadership team to ensure an integrated approach to the delivery of all primary and urgent care services. This includes providing clinical advice and guidance to the management team and IJB around national policy, legislation and structural reform, including proposals and implications associated the National Care Service.  The Clinical Director will be involved in Quality Improvement, clinical leadership and clinical governance in the pursuit of excellent quality care. 

The post holder will be an advocate for primary care practitioners ensuring their views and voices are heard to inform the planning and development of services aimed at improving health and tackling inequalities.  They will be responsible for facilitating improved integration and joint working between multiple agencies and communities to understand and respond to the determinants of health and enabling relationships through strong leadership. 

Applicants should be fully registered with the GMC GP Register and able to demonstrate clinical leadership alongside negotiating, problem solving and people management skills.  Experience within a medical management role with knowledge of clinical governance and understanding of nGMS contract is essential.
