Job Advert

Help shape the future of point-of-care prescribing advice and medicines intelligence.

We are seeking a driven, adaptable and progressive pharmacist to join our dynamic Medicines Information and Governance (MI&G) Team. This exciting opportunity is available either as a secondment or a fixed-term position until October 2023 (job share will be considered).

The successful applicant will work across different MI&G domains in the delivery of the Adult Therapeutics Handbook and Clinical Effectiveness projects in line with health board priorities.

The Adult Therapeutics Handbook is a celebrated digital clinical resource for clinicians and healthcare professionals within NHSGGC, and soon to be expanded with regional collaboration, to become a West of Scotland resource.

As part of the Clinical Effectiveness component of this post, you will be leading on specific projects to support prescribers with intelligence on medication performance and/ or guidance on safe and effective prescribing.

This post will help support your career development by offering a wide range of opportunities for leadership, management and advancing practice that are transferable across all areas of pharmacy. The post also includes a patient-facing clinical pharmacy commitment.

You will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Scotland’s biggest city with easy access to the rest of the West of Scotland and the Central Belt via road and public transport.

If you want to know more or ask any questions, we are more than happy to discuss this opportunity with you informally: Contact Roy Foot, Cristina Coelho or Faria Qureshi on therapeutics.handbook@ggc.scot.nhs.uk  or on 0141 201 3227. Alternatively, you can contact one of us on Teams.
