An exciting opportunity has arisen in Specialist Rehabilitation in Woodend Hospital to assist in the provision of Occupational Therapy to Major Trauma, Orthopaedic and Frail elderly patients within the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation unit and Links Unit .
We are seeking a well motivated, reliable Band 4 support worker with an interest in providing patient care which will include inpatient and outreach working . You would be required to work independently, or alongside your OT colleague, with patients on the wards and in their own homes.
We are looking for a support worker with excellent communication skills, effective organisational and time management skills and good I.T. skills. A full driving licence and access to a car is required for work.
There will be an expectation to provide services over 7 days, including weekends/public holidays and extended hours, where required, to meet the need of service.
Regular supervision and support will be provided with training on the job and via the local Occupational Therapy support worker training programme.
Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous.
