Specialist Rehabilitation Nurse
A rare but exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and forward thinking band 6 Specialist Rehab Nurse to join our team within the Neuro pathway.
This is a nurse led service, which provides specialist nursing in the community for people with complex physical and neurological disability. The successful post holder will be required to actively hold their own caseload of patients providing and discussing treatment options and symptom management with patients throughout various stages of their disease. This will include patients discharged from hospital, those about to be discharged from the Neuro rehab unit, those with progressive disability and young adults with complex physical and neurological disability.
These patients will range from being at home, in residential/ nursing settings such as Sue Ryder as well as those able to come into the hospital for outpatient clinics.
The successful post holder must be a car driver and have the ability to manage a complex caseload although support will be given around this. Experience of working in neurology is essential as well as a sound knowledge of neurological disorders.
