An exciting oppurtunity has arisen for a B6 Charge Nurse to join the Surgical Team in H North at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. H North is a 22-24 bedded surgical receiving ward, which admits patients from ED, SAU and other specialties.  You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to this defined group of patients.  You will competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.  You will provide clinical leadership for the assessment of patient needs, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care which are evidence based, utilizing all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others.   It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have relevant post registration experience within surgical specialties.  If you are an individual with suitable experience wishing to progress within this area of surgical nursing and have the ability to fulfill the criteria outlined in the job description then this is the challenge you are looking for.  H North is a well established team that will provide good oppurtunities within a surgical receiving ward environment.  The shift pattern for this post is mainly 11.5hrs with flexibility required when covering for the SCN
