An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Pharmacist to lead the cancer care pharmacy team across Ayrshire & Arran. You will require a proven track record in leadership, management and innovation to lead the clinical pharmacy team to further develop cancer services and make best use of the skills and attributes of the team for the optimal outcomes for patients. 

You must have excellent communication skills to become an integral part of the cancer services multidisciplinary team both locally and regionally. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of negotiating skills, be able to adapt quickly and it is essential that you have the ability to work well as part of a team in addition to being able to work autonomously.  

Ideally, you should be able to demonstrate an expert level of clinical pharmacy knowledge within the specialist area and hold an independent prescribing qualification. A passion for driving forward change is essential together with a commitment to the delivery of time critical work to support achievement of our vision.  

You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours as required.  In accordance with AFC terms and conditions there may be a requirement to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day. If you wish to work part-time or as part of a job share, this will be considered.

It is essential you are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
