Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner

Band 4 £23,709 - £25,982 pro rata

37.5 Hours a week, Permanent

 Applications are invited for a 37.5 hour permanent Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner post based at the Royal Northern Infirmary working within the community integrated team.  

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an established team of Occupational Therapists in a community based setting. The focus for this post is provision of non-complex occupational therapy assessment and interventions to help maximise client function and independence, focussing predominantly on rehabilitation and the provision of level 1 equipment and adaptations. 

You will be expected to independently manage a caseload to provide a full service of assessment, appropriate management, onward referral and discharge to a range of patients referred to the service.   ​​​​​​

 Regular supervision is provided (including peer supervision opportunities) and opportunities for ongoing professional development are encouraged.

A HNC in Occupational Therapy Support is preferred but not essential.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations and patient residences, so a full current driving license is essential.
