Associate Adviser – Professional Development
Hours: 2 PA’s (8 hours per week)

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
The Associate Adviser will be responsible for assisting the Assistant GP Director and CPD Manager in the production of educational activities and resources within CPD Connect. This includes participation in Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) training and module development, CPD course development and delivery and input to interprofessional education including e-learning.
This post is for 2 sessions per week and the base location is negotiable, however the postholder would have a requirement to work on occasion from NES offices. You should be medically qualified with a background in Primary Care. You will have understanding of, and experience in modern CPD methods and resources, learning needs assessment and learning evaluation. Reporting to the Assistant Director of General Practice Education (Continuing Professional Development) you should have excellent communication and organisational skills.

The post is permanent, subject to annual review. The salary will be based on the GP educator’s scale.
