This is a full-time post offered on a fixed contract for 2 years.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the supporting development and delivery of NHSGGC’s Adult Screening Inequalities Action Plan.
The post holder will undertake community engagement to understand the experience of and barriers to participating in cancer screening programmes among individuals from black and minority ethnic backgrounds, and in partnership with communities take a lead role in the development and delivery of capacity building activities to raise awareness of cancer screening.
The post holder will have a genuine passion for improving access to services and opportunities for people from under-represented communities. They will also have an understanding of the issues experienced by people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds including barriers to access and addressing additional needs.
The post will involve direct engagement with a wide range of communities and individuals, and will require experience of community engagement.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are required
