IM&T Technician
1 permanent post and 1 Fixed Term Contract/Secondment for 6 months

As a vital part of NHSScotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

NSS Digital & Security supports the NHS Scotland national eHealth agenda through the effective delivery of IM&T products and specialist services that will enable clinical process and efficiency improvements across Scotland. The core remit is focused on the management and delivery of IM&T services focused on national & local infrastructure, business and clinical capabilities.

The customer support desk team forms part of the Cloud Engineering & Operations function which supports NSS & external stakeholders through a modern infrastructure.  The customer support desk (CSD) provides first line contact and support from Sunday – Saturday 08:00 – 20:00. Therefore, there is a requirement to participate in a rota for out of hours’ support. This role is also responsible for administration tasks and fulfilment of IT orders.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated service desk technician with excellent communication and customer service skills to provide first-line support. IT Service desk experience is essential in a fast paced busy environment, as well as knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft O365 and basic hardware and software diagnosis.  Experience of ServiceNow would be an advantage though training will be provided.

Our benefits package includes pension scheme, comprehensive range of work life balance policies, occupational health services, learning resource centres and discounted leisure, financial and shopping benefits.
