​​​​​​​This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post. 

The successful candidate will be joining the Telecommunications Administration Team assisting in the provision of a high quality and comprehensive clerical and administrative support for the department. The main focus of the role is to provide administrative support for all financial functions as well as assisting with the procurement of mobile telecommunication equipment & related software. The post holder will deal with the raising of PECOS purchase orders and all aspects of invoicing and recharges. The post holder will be expected to provide effective communications between internal / external suppliers with particular regard to the NHS Supply Chain in order that goods are available and obtained in accordance with established procedures and timescales, to facilitate the day-to-day activities across NHS Lothian The post holder will need to be able to maintain concentration and accuracy in what can often be an intense, complex and sometimes challenging environment. Often dealing with frustrated end-users who demand quicker response than resources and priorities allow. In order to ensure effective administrative support to the service the post holder will be expected to work their hours Monday to Friday between 08:30 – 17:30 however there may be a requirement, at times, for some shift work (evenings and weekends) to assist the department in the delivery of the service. Pay - Band 3 starting salary of £21,709 increasing to £23,603 (Starting point on scale is dependent on term of NHS Service) Interview - Successful candidates will be invited for interview week beginning 25th April 2022.
