We currently have an exciting opportunity for a midwife to join our Family Liaison Team. The team is based within the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and provides care for a Caseload of women and their families where there are identified Child Protection Concerns during pregnancy throughout Fife,. 
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated midwife to support women during their pregnancy journey. You will be responsible for providing individualised care to a caseload of women with complex social issues.  In addition to providing antenatal and postnatal care within the home, you will undertake and contribute to assessments relating to Wellbeing and Child Protection in line with local and national guidance.  Frequent liaison and attendance at meetings with the multi-agency Team is an integral part of the role, to ensure safe and child focused outcomes.  The Family Liaison Team sits within the award winning Vulnerable in Pregnancy Team (Winners of the Scottish Health Award 2020 – Midwife), and we work closely with our colleagues in perinatal Mental Health, the Drug Liaison Midwives, and Senior Midwife Child Protection.  We have a successful programme of Child Protection Supervision and support embedded within the teams. 
We are a dynamic, progressive and really friendly team, the unit is modern and progressive with approximately 3500 births per year. The services include outpatient and community services, a complex care Consultant Unit and an alongside Midwife Led Unit. We are developing services in line with Best Start recommendations. We are focussing on increasing our rates of continuity of carer in the first instance. We already have teams established for vulnerable in pregnancy and child protection including a perinatal mental health midwife and bereavement specialist, infant nutrition and smoking cessation.
We will encourage you with your professional development and education via our dedicated clinical midwife educator and midwifery PEF. We have an extremely successful in house leadership programme and regularly encourage staff to participate in external networking.
You must be a NMC Registered Midwife you should possess enthusiasm, excellent team working skills with effective communication.
