The NHS Tayside Digital Directorate is looking to recruit a Systems Support Specialist within the Unified Communications Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Service Delivery team as a key technical resource. Responsible for IP Telephony Services and associated Unified Communications tools to users throughout NHS Tayside. You will possess a broad range of practicable, organisational and technical knowledge to support the variety of hardware, software, systems, projects and services supported by the Unified Communications Team.

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate should previous experience of operating within an ICT Support environment. You should have operational and administration knowledge of Mobile Device management (MDM) technologies. Have a good understanding of Unified Communication Technologies. Have knowledge of Computer Networks and awareness of IPT technologies. To take responsibility and lead delegated staff supervision and co-ordinate team activities.

The post requires education to diploma level, preferably in the IT field, or relevant ICT support experience and should include the following:

•           Operational/Administration of MDM.  

•           Good understanding of Unified Communication technologies

•           Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem resolution, strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

•           Strong communication skills and to work collaboratively as part of team

•           Awareness of emerging technologies and trends.

•           Lead/Supervise delegated staff

This role will include the above but is not restricted to these responsibilities.

A key element of the role includes supporting the Service Delivery Manager in deploying a fully functional Mobile Device Management Service.
