Please note this is a permanent part-time post for 25hrs and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
We are seeking an enthusiastic & dedicated Senior Health Care Support worker to join our Occupational Therapy Department based in the University Hospital Wishaw.
A full valid UK driving licence holder will be essential for this position to meet the needs of the service.
The Senior Health Care Support Worker under the supervision, guidance and support of an Occupational Therapist, will assist with the delivery and implementation of occupational therapy treatment programmes.
Supervise and instruct patients in designated clinical interventions
Duties may vary depending on the care group/department or assigned area of work.
The successful candidate will have achieved the following skills & attributes:
SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
Must have clinical experience on an Acute site
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
Ability to work unsupervised.
To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
Working knowledge of basic information technology
