Applications are invited for a permanent, full-time (10 PA) Consultant Orthodontist role in NHS Ayrshire and Arran. The successful candidate will complement the team of two Consultants in Orthodontics, four consultants in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, two visiting consultants in Restorative Dentistry and six ENT Surgeons who make up the Head and Neck Directorate.
The department provides treatment and healthcare on an area basis for a population of approximately 388,000. This post is based at University Hospital Crosshouse with outpatient work being carried out at Ayrshire Central and Ayr Hospitals as a response to the pandemic to ensure service continuity.
You will contribute to service requirements and may wish to develop your sub-specialty interest. You will also contribute to a proportionate share of the general work of the department.

Applicants must be fully registered with the General Dental Council, be on the Specialist List for Orthodontics and hold the ISFE in orthodontics or be within 6 months of CCT on the date of interview.
The post is being offered as a full time appointment but applications from individuals who may wish to work on a part-time or job share basis will be considered.
